“KNOT” A PILLOW Materials 1/2 Yard of pink felt 1/2 Yard of blue felt Scissors Fabric paint Ruler 1 Bag of Polyester Fiberfil |
STEP 1 Cut out a 20" square from the pink felt, then cut a 20" square from the blue felt. Lay one piece of felt on top of the other and work together. |
STEP 2 Measure in 4" around all sides, than cut 1" strips around entire pillow (Cut both colors at once). Remove corners and discard. |
STEP 3 With a pen, lightly draw your design on the pillow. |

STEP 4 With your fabric paints, decorate your pillow. Have fun and be creative! most fabric paints require drying time, so be sure to check the directions before proceeding to the next step. |
STEP 5 Once the paint is dry, start tying knots around the edge of your pillow. A single knot worked fine on our pillow. Leave one side open. |
STEP 6 Next, take bunches of the poly fiberfil and start stuffing your pillow to the desired fluffiness. Be sure to fill the corners. Once pillow if full, continue tying knots to close up the open end. |
STEP 7 This pillow is really easy to make. and comes out adorable. Your kids will love making it. This project is great fun for a sleep over or to give as a gift! |
